What's a good Burton board for my 11yr son?

About 140 is the correct size for him now, but I would recommend going a little bigger (143, etc) and letting him grow into it - or even doing a season rental for him.
Everybody always asks about Burton because that's the only brand they've ever heard of - but it is mostly hype and the really good riders are usually on something else - you can spend less and get a better board - Ride, K2, etc.
Those Burton Chopper is the one most kids ride, but they are really soft and aren't any better than other brands. The Burton Custom Youth is stiffer and made for bigger kids but $250+ is a lot for a kids board:
