I am asking parents to donate 2 dollars for a fall party. My question is how do i word it? Just come out and ask? You could ask for the monetary donation, or for the donation of materials or food you need. You could also ask for the donation of time. Aside from classroom gifts for the teacher, we have never asked for a monetary donation from individual parents. We call and ask what they're interested in doing, and plan around that. A a parent, I'd rather make something, or help plan a game/craft and go out and get it myself. The parents who work full time on the other hand would probably love to give the 2$.In our school you are required to give the parents an option between donating money towards an event and providing something for the party. Mine went out to the teachers today and reads:
"Happy Fall parents of ! As you have probably already heard, we are having another amazing event in Ms. Sandy's classroom. Please send $3 per child to school to cover the cost of the party on or before Friday, October 24. Any parent that wishes to contribute goods or service may contact me directly at 888-888-8888. The more, the merrier so do feel free to let me know if you'd like to help.
I have the list of food requirements and allergies so if there are any changes since August, please let me know right away. As always, if you will please sign the attached form that allows your child's picture to be distributed on the "event tab" on Ms. Sandy's website then I can post all the pictures prior to the 27th!
May you and yours be kept and well. Best to all, "Ask them to donate but specify what you are planning so they have an idea of what their money is going towards. Yes, just come out and ask. Most parents, if they know, they will contribute for a party.Yeah, you could do the whole letter home thing, or do tickets or something so that for the child to attend the parents have to contribute the money?
They all will though, if their child wants to go, because $2 isn't alot.
Have fun xYeah I would just ask them when you see them, or maybe ask the teacher to send home a paper in their folders or whatever they use.

www.modern-mommies.comDear Parent/Guardians,
Your child's classroom will be having a Halloween Party on October 31st. We are requesting that each family donate $2 to help with the cost. Please put the money in an envelope marked "party money" and return it in your child's backback by October 27.
Thank you in advance,
