I got there FIRST! :PSometimes I don't understand their strategy.
I mean, would people who make 1M bucks a year be tempted to waste 15 minutes of their time to fill in some forms for 3k miles? I don't make even 100k a year so I won't know.
If I am a user of such survey data, I'll probably cast a suspicious eye at this data. I bet there are quite a number of Elmer J. Fudds or obsessive-compulsive miles-hoarder in there ;).http://www.affluent-dynamics.com/whyjoin.html

I got there FIRST! :P
:td: Miles are only for United:
* The frequent flyer reward program works as follows for Panel members: For every online survey you complete or focus group you participate in, you will be given 3000 miles. The miles will be with United's Mileage Plus program and you will be asked to provide your United Mileage Plus account number at the end of each completed survey. The miles will be credited to your United account within three weeks of completing the survey. Once in your account, your miles can be used as you would use them with United Airlines or any of their 13 Star Alliance international partners.
If you do not have a United account, please go to the United website and sign-up: http://www.united.com/mileageplus.Sounds like just the quick fix I need to top up my MP account for a Christmas award flight.
Thanks for sharing!I just received my first invitation to participate in a survey. I also almost deleted the e-mail as it looked like spam. The sender's address was 'nbenedict@affluent-dynamics.com'. Being that I signed up for this panel months ago, the name Affluent-Dynamics didn't mean anything to me. The subject of the e-mail was 'Tell Us Your Thoughts in this New Affluent Dynamics Survey".
At the conclusion of the survey, it stated the 3,000 miles would be posted to my account within three weeks.Well, I got an email welcoming me to the Affluent Dynamics panel. I guess that means I met their criteria? Was afraid I wouldn't as my house value less mortgage fell below the $500 K threshold.
Who's your appraiser? ;) :DJust tried joining. Although I should probably have thought twice before giving them that much personal information...Got a new survey on Friday the 21st. They called it their "annual year end investment climate" survey so others may get it as well. Found it my accident in my spam folder today. Answered the first question on total investable assets (A: between $1 MM and $5MM) and they told me they already had their quota. :(
FYI - they are now offering either 3000 Mileage Plus miles or $50 check mailed to your home address.
PS I took a previous survey from these folks and got the 3000 UA miles as promised.Got my 3000 UA miles. Also realized that I had missed an earlier survey from them because the email looked like spam.
Can you guys give some "hints" as to how spam-like the survey is? Does it have the sender as a person with a name or what? I've been waiting to receive my 1st survey for weeks, if not months. I don't even know whether the invite had been blocked or filtered by my ISP.That was on Ditech.com.Took the real estate survey on 5/17; still no points but the survey shows up in my profile.
Is there any way to contact them?
Thanks!
I tired to contact them but no luck.would like to know as well if you can sign up and still get miles. Always looking for new ways...I just received/completed a survey today. Will let you know if/when the miles post.
GophMine also posted, as of Friday.Received 2 surveys in the last 1 week. Just have to wait for the miles to post. For those who filled out the 1st survey back in January this year, have your promised miles posted yet?
I haven't received any survey myself. :(My wife and I have received two each . Miles posted each time in about a month.Has any one actually received the FF points yet??
I did a survey a while (4 weeks) ago and still no miles....I received the welcome e-mail, but never heard from them again. Oh Well....No one else feel ill at ease filling out this info online? Not really. Other than the fact that there's very little for anyone to steal from me (:p), I fill out online surveys all the time and have done so for years. Zero negative repercussions and plenty of extra pocket change.I answered "male" and still was able to complete the survey. tlsI received the welcome e-mail, but never heard from them again. Oh Well....
I did sign up around the time when this thread was first opened. I have earned 9000 miles till now doing 3 surveys. So yes they do come. As a matter of fact I did a real estate survey last month and earned 3000 pointsWhy not give it a go...:)
Bring on the miles......Ditto - I received the email. I am glad that yahoo did not put this in my spam folder otherwise I would not have read it. I completed the survey and will get 3000 United miles.
It was a pretty easy survey too.Got my first survey today. Took 11 minutes to fill out and they promised 3000 United Miles within a few weeks.I started filling out their questions, but honestly got a bit nervous telling them my net worth, full name, how much I have in investments, etc.
No one else feel ill at ease filling out this info online? Thanks for the updated feedback on this offer --- I just signed up :)How can you see your profile? I took a survey on 5/19 & have received no miles, but can't seem to see anything on their website.Just signed up and received a 'welcome' message in 5 minsMy wife and I have received two each . Miles posted each time in about a month.
How soon did you receive your surveys after signing up?I enrolled in this several months ago, have not seen a survey yet, unless it was burined in spam, anyone ever got one?
I found my welcome email. It was received on Jan 23... Nothing since.
I think they were just collecting info.
Edit: I thought I would reply to the sender of my Welcome email.
This was the response:

This link worked for me this morning, but I had forgotten my username and pwd. When I clicked on the link for forgotten password, they sent me both in two separate emails, but now when I click on th elink I get a HTTP 403 error (Forbidden) - you are not authorized to view this wbepage. I tried clearing all my cookies and still get the 403 error. It doesn't sound like anyone has actually received a survey or panel invitation from Affluent-Dynamics... If they sign you up into the program you would think that they'd extend an opportunity to contribute your way... Otherwise why gather all these members that they don't seem to need anyway. Just wondering what your experience with this was. Has anyone received a survey or miles from Affluent-Dynamics?no. got the welcome message but no rewards yet...Might want to note that they only post miles to United FF accounts, according to the fine print on the bottom of their webpage inviting people to join.I signed up, but I'm not holding my breath on this one...I just got my first one as well - and I almost deleted it too. Good thing it mentioned 3,000 miles!Try this link. Put in your user name and password. You should be able to navigate to your surveys.

Thanks very much. Just what I needed. My 3000 miles posted today. What a great deal!!I did sign up around the time when this thread was first opened. I have earned 9000 miles till now doing 3 surveys. So yes they do come. As a matter of fact I did a real estate survey last month and earned 3000 points
Hmmm... I did what sounds like the same survey last month, but have not yet gotten any points.
r6vo: When did your points post, and how were they designated?
Update - My points posted on June 2nd.
Thanks,
MichaelTook survey on May 11. Posted on June 2. Guess I am a believer now."My name is Elmer J. Fudd, millionaire. I own a mansion and a yacht."
LOL!! :DAnybody had any surveys lately? I noticed that the website's last update was in December 2007.The OP was in Oct 04. do you really think that after all these years that this offer will still be good.? seems that no one has actually posted that they got miles. so its obviously been more that 4 weeks :rolleyes:Got my first survey May 19.
Miles posted sometime in the past 7 hours, today on July 1, date attached to the miles is June 28.
Got my miles this past week, as well. Thanks for posting - I doubt I meet this characteristic though - I'm probably in the bottom 50% though!
A statistically reliable sample of very affluent individuals that includes the top 1% of U.S. households.I fear I am receiving surveys and deleting them as spam without looking at them. What do the subject lines look like, and what is the address from which they send the surveys?
Thanks.
The person who sent me the survey mail was a "James Albright". The address is @affluent-dynamics.com. The subject is not generic, but is on topic about the survey. The one I got for example is titled "An Interesting New Financial Product Concept", and it's about, well, a financial product concept (I think it's about some form of savings account).I enrolled in this several months ago, have not seen a survey yet, unless it was burined in spam, anyone ever got one?Got my first survey May 19.
Miles posted sometime in the past 7 hours, today on July 1, date attached to the miles is June 28.Thanks!
(rar!)
Rar! indeed. In fact, I have a Ted flight this afternoon, tomorrow AND Thursday.
I wish I had $10 million in equity. Then I could buy UA. ;)
TimothyI tried four different homes and all four came back "subject property not in the data base". :td:I almost deleted it, but something told me not to..so now I just earned a cool 3000 FF points!!!My wife and I have received two each . Miles posted each time in about a month.
Would you be willing to share what's the sender's address/email header like? Thanks!Who's your appraiser? ;) :D
By the way, if you need a handy online appraisal tool (with NO registration, NO obligation and NO broker calling you), here's one from a mortgage company. All you need to fill in is the property address:
http://www.ditech.com/solimar/propertyValuationRequest.jsp
Some of you may be surprised at how much equity you have! (Today, anyway! Who knows about tomorrow or next year?) ;)I fear I am receiving surveys and deleting them as spam without looking at them. What do the subject lines look like, and what is the address from which they send the surveys?
Thanks.I completed a survey last week...still no miles.May 3 -- Took survey
June 2 -- Received miles (although didn't appear online until June 5)What is the "spam" like email address it's sent from? I've almost assuredly thrown them away (get too many spams to open them one by one). If I know what to look for, I can do a quick visual scan... Thanks.Huh. I just got my first survey after under a week.
... and it was about high-yield online savings accounts, which the guys over at FatWallet would love . :)"My name is Elmer J. Fudd, millionaire. I own a mansion and a yacht."Well, I got an email welcoming me to the Affluent Dynamics panel. I guess that means I met their criteria? Was afraid I wouldn't as my house value less mortgage fell below the $500 K threshold. The financial planning association I belong to was approached by this company to survey our members. Naturally, I jumped on the chance and so for have received four surveys, 3 offering 3,000 UA miles and one a choice of the UA miles or $50 check (I took the check). Miles post in about a month. Surveys are short and targeted for people in the investment advice business. Currently waiting on 6,000 UA miles to post, very happy. But it took about a whole year after I signed up to ever receive anything from them, I had totally forgotten about them!I mean, would people who make 1M bucks a year be tempted to waste 15 minutes of their time to fill in some forms for 3k miles? I don't make even 100k a year so I won't know.
Well, I don't make that much either, but some people fill out surveys for the "fun" of filling out surveys (and presumably "making their voices heard in the marketplace" or something like that). The incentives are often secondary.
In fact, one would argue that most of these survey companies survive through people's desires to make their opinions heard in one way or another. Given that most survey companies offer only paltry incentives (often equivalent to about a dollar on average for a 15-20 minute survey), and some offer even less (e.g. only sweepstakes entries), people clearly aren't making a living by filling out these surveys, so they must have other reasons for filling them out.
If you're going to "waste your time" doing something like watching TV or surfing random websites (FT excluded, of course :D), who's to say surveys are more of a "waste?"Thanks!
(rar!)no. got the welcome message but no rewards yet...
It took me almost a year before I got my first (and only so far) survey, but the miles did post for me. Patience is a virtue.Mine posted today as well. Very nice!:td: Miles are only for United:
Since when is that bad? ;)
Timothy
If you don't want the miles... perhaps Elmer or I could use them.Got my 3000 UA miles. Also realized that I had missed an earlier survey from them because the email looked like spam.I finally got a survey today-almost sent it to spam.It was about luxury real estate--unfortunately they apparently were looking for a female,so I got bumped out as soon as I answered male.Hopefully someone else here can use that info to their advantage. It took quite a while-probably 3-4 months. That link doesn't actually work. If you click on "Calculators" and then "Free eAppraisal" on the left side of the page, that will get you to where you want.
I clicked through to free eappraisal, entered my house address, hit submit, and it didn't ask for email address so how do you get them to send surveys? Obviously I'm missing something--sorry!seeing this thread, i just signed up. we'll see how it goes.Badda bing! I love it ... :DTook survey on May 11. Posted on June 2. Guess I am a believer now.
OK. I guess you need to give them a month to post the mileage. Thanks!
Hopefully I quilify for more than the Opinion Place surveys!!woohoo, the points posted
AFFLUENT-DYNAMICS PANEL REWARDS 3,000Ditto. Got a survey today after registering a few days ago. That's an easy 3k UA miles....provided I receive them ;).Have received a couple of surveys per year for the last 2 years. The miles have posted by about 4-5 weeks after taking the survey. Although not frequent, the fact that they are worth 3000 miles makes these worthwhile for me to keep my UA miles active. Have never taken the gift certificate option, but I would expect this to be received in a similar amount of time.I just got an Affluent Dynamics survey yesterday - my second one since signing up last December. It focussed on economic concerns of individual investors and took maybe 15 minutes to fill out. Also, it came from Neil Benedict, so keep looking for that name in your spam folder. I responded right away, so I'll monitor how long it takes for the 3000 UA miles to post.Took the real estate survey on 5/17; still no points but the survey shows up in my profile.
Is there any way to contact them?
Thanks!"My name is Elmer J. Fudd, millionaire. I own a mansion and a yacht."
AGAIN!Ditto. Survey took about 5 mins.. 3000 miles = approx $30 for 5 mins?
Not a bad deal even if I were a $M.By the way, if you need a handy online appraisal tool (with NO registration, NO obligation and NO broker calling you), here's one from a mortgage company. All you need to fill in is the property address:

Kathy,
I can not get this link to work. Is it my computer or dead link? Any help would be app. Thanks :)I just signed up a week or so ago after this thread was revived. Received my first survey a couple of days ago. Took about 10 minutes to complete. It did ask for my UA # at the end of it.Sometimes I don't understand their strategy.
I mean, would people who make 1M bucks a year be tempted to waste 15 minutes of their time to fill in some forms for 3k miles? I don't make even 100k a year so I won't know.

Some of us just love freebies. (No, I do NOT make $1 million a year but I think I met some other qualifications.) And I'm always interested in seeing what companies are trying to find out in order to plan their marketing.Worth a try, I seemed to come in at the bottom of their scales...
How much equity do you have >$10,000,000....er not quite :)
I feel this maybe aimed at getting people for investment advice etc...Kathy,
I can not get this link to work. Is it my computer or dead link? Any help would be app. Thanks :)
That link doesn't actually work. If you click on "Calculators" and then "Free eAppraisal" on the left side of the page, that will get you to where you want.
However, this eAppraisal tool does not work for any "unit" or apartment addresses, e.g. for condominiums with multiple units at the same street address. :td: I live in just such a place (a condo that I own, with multiple condos within a building with a single street address), and the tool just says, "Multiple properties fit" ... it will not let me enter a unit number or anything similar. Not too useful.Huh. I just got my first survey after under a week.
... and it was about high-yield online savings accounts, which the guys over at FatWallet would love . :)
Still nothing here :( I must not make enough :D
sdcarverI signed up for this I think on friday and got a survey to complete today worth 3000 UA miles..WooHoo...
Edited to say that I did almost throw the email away cause it was from someone I didnt now and the title sounded like one of those spam emails so I checked it as spam and went to block the email addie and I saw that it was from them so I went and read it and realized it was my 1st survey.Well, I'll be interested to see whether I get any surveys. I don't think I'm really "affluent" enough for their target audience. Should I have put that I'm worth over $1,000,000?I signed up when this was first posted and just got my first survey invitation. Qualified and was told my 3000 miles will post. I hope so. Pretty easy 3000 miles if it works. ^ ^Filled out my first survey yesterday, waiting for 3000 UA miles.2 more days before the 4 weeks that they promised the miles will be posted after I've taken their survey.
We'll see how "affluent" they are (or how not affluent I am :D)).Has any one actually received the FF points yet??How can you see your profile? I took a survey on 5/19 & have received no miles, but can't seem to see anything on their website.
Try this link. Put in your user name and password. You should be able to navigate to your surveys.
https://survey.confirmit.com/wi/p249108691/login.aspRegistered yesterday. Get a survey today.whoa. Mine posted too. I must admit I am pleasantly surprised!Mine also posted, as of Friday.
Same here. Registered on May 3, took a survey on May 4, miles posted on June 2.The person who sent me the survey mail was a "James Albright". The address is @affluent-dynamics.com. The subject is not generic, but is on topic about the survey. The one I got for example is titled "An Interesting New Financial Product Concept", and it's about, well, a financial product concept (I think it's about some form of savings account).
Oh, oh. That name is very familiar.
I have set up a special filter to separate out mail from that address, and asked them to try sending me offers again. My fingers are crossed.
Thanks.By the way, if you need a handy online appraisal tool (with NO registration, NO obligation and NO broker calling you), here's one from a mortgage company. All you need to fill in is the property address:
