Opinion: Comedy and Politics?

  • I'm trying to do a paper on the use of comedy in politics and would love some answers from the world.

Where do you turn for news?

Do you think Sarah Palin's appearance on SNL helped or hurt her campain?

Does comedy influence the way you perceive candidates?

**Also, I'm looking for some other questions to ask, so if you have some tips let me know.

    Thanks!

  • Main stream media and Late night comedy shows are one and the same, If that is where people go for "News" then Palin was right to appear on SNL, It's a pitty that there is very little real journalism left in the world. It seems it's much easier to make up news than to find it and correctly report it,

  • newspaper and tv news
    SNL helped
I love comedy sometimes. Just not too much
If worst came to worst and the president died could she nuke another country that had attacked us.

  • In Sarah Palin's case I would have to say Tina Fay's incredible performance has hurt her. I say this because, SNL uses almost word to word "from" Sarah herself while they imitate her.

They portray her as a babbling idiot. SNL are never to far from the truth.
Look how they portrayed Bill Clinton??

I watch MSNBC and CNN. Please do not ever go to Fox News for any serious information.
